He also as the problem of being the smallest kid on his team and Lamar Parish making fun of him. He gets to the point where he fakes an injury so maybe they will send him home. He decides to stay though and turns out to be a good decision as he helps his team win the championship. ''I'm glad i decided to stay'' Danny Walker.
2. Friendship is more important than winning.
Danny's friends have always been there for him but he needs them the most when he is having troubles at camp. Once Danny finds out that one of his best friends, Tess Hewitt, is right across the lake from him, he decides to pay here a visit. She makes he change his mind about camp and he decides to stay. It turns out that that decision would change his life. Without his friends, Danny would not be where he is today. ''I don't know what i would do without you Tess'' Danny Walker.
3. Always stay strong
"'You know what this really is? It's Ty's dad cutting you all over again. Another grown-up telling you you're not good enough. I thought you always used to tell me that the championship you guys really won in travel was the championship of any kid who got told by an adult that they werent good enough?'"
